Other Living Areas
The home is a Dutch colonial replica, with a large center hall and a very wide staircase leading up to the bedrooms and two other large staircases one leading down to the Hangout Room and another leading even deeper down into the amazing wine cellar.
We have a great family room with a fireplace, and a big screen HD TV over the mantle. Like the media room this TV has an incorporated Blue Ray player, and is connected to Netflix, etc. Very comfortable and relaxed, it opens to the kitchen, the Lanai, and connects to the library. Huge passageways make the family room, kitchen and Lanai feel like one huge single room.
Our library is a bit more formal. We have a collection of very old books, and some racing memorabilia.
It’s a large room and great place to relax and read a book on the chaise lounge, play a game of chess, or just watch the kids play.
Besides the breakfast nook, and the banquet room we have a formal dining room just off the main kitchen through the butler’s pantry. It can sit eight comfortably and is adorned with special things such as the beautiful blue crystal chandelier. The dining room, and all the kitchens and pantries are full of fine dishes, utensils, crystal, etc.
Our butler's pantry connects the kitchen to the dining room. It has a handmade copper sink and faucet, special lighting and decorations. In the drawers you will find sushi sets, caviar plates and mother of pearl spoons and alike.
If you need to dry some towels we have two great washer and dryer rooms on two floors. One is located just off the pool so you can drop wet towels right into the machine.There are also several pantries, many closets and other useful living areas inside.
